Wow! Has it really been 51 days? They say that time flies when you’re having fun, and that’s definitely right. So, what have we been up to at Youbee Media in that time? Founder Rebecca spills the beans, summing up developments and hopefully give you an insight into what we do!

Where we started…
Really, it all started with an idea! Youbee Media was created with the idea of being a agency that worked as an extension of your business. With many people now working from home, why can’t it feel like you have a marketing consultant within your team, there for what you need and when you need them? Dealing with everything from your website, to internal communications, kit you send to clients, leaflets you produce, your social media management and website – it all falls into the same category and is often something that business owners can’t dedicate the time to. The name! Youbee Media just felt right. My nickname is Bumble bee if you ask my mum, B if you ask my dad and to others – it’s Becky! So, the Bee just needed to be in there. How I saw the marketing activities working, was as a combination of efforts and desire from ‘you’ and ‘me’. The Media represents all the mediums that Youbee Media work with as an agency. Which meant that the name came together in perfect harmony, and just sounded right.

I had created a logo and a brand that I liked, but I needed to sharpen that up a bit and create a set of assets that I could consistently use across a website, social media, business cards and stationary. I got in touch with Georgia Sidding Design to see whether she should help. Georgia sharpened and completed my logo, created usable assets and designed my email signature and pull up banner.
Now that I had these, it was time to get the website underway!
I had written some copy for the website, but I was embarrassed by it. I wrote something down, then closed the document as soon as possible so that I didn’t have to spend another second reading it! It was then that I decided to get in touch with Jeanette Dyson of cwrite, a copywriter I had worked with on another website job. Jeanette just ‘got it’! She knew my personality, picked up on the tone I was aiming for and just brought it all together. I loved what Jeanette did with my copy (as well as making me Queen Youbee!). Take a look at her new website - www.cwrite.co.uk!
What happened next…
Next, I needed to start telling people about why I was here, where I could help and how working with an agency could work. For a lot of businesses, if they hadn’t engaged in marketing activities before, they don’t know what they would need, how much it’ll cost, or where to begin. The best place to start is with an open conversation about where the business is now. After this initial conversation, hearing your pain points and understanding what a business hopes to achieve, we can start to form a plan.
I started to work with clients on their marketing strategy, their objectives and set check points to make sure that we were always learning and growing together. After all, this is about you and me – remember! Marketing and communications aren’t just about one thing, so how can we embed that into everything you do and consequently, meet your targets.
Where we are now?
Well, there’s a question! Each week, I have a joke to myself about this being ‘the busiest week since records began’. And it’s true! The momentum is happening, I’m loving how things are going and my clients are happy. In the last 51 days, we’ve had 2 periods of leave from nursery with our little one (due to that pandemic you may have heard about?), one rushed trip to hospital (all fine now), and another lockdown.
It’s manic and we’re all on this Covid-coaster together. I want to get off, I do want some normality… but for now, my days are packed with marketing workshops over Zoom calls, busy with plans and schedules and my head is swimming with ideas. Roll on the next 51 days is all say, because Youbee Media is buzzing!

Keep in touch,
Youbee Becky
