On Saturday 7th May 2022, the first ever Yorkshire Coast Mandathon took place. The event was created with one special lady in mind and to honour the legacy of Mandy Taylor MBE. Forty people gathered at points across the Yorkshire Coast to push their boundaries and raise funds and awareness for an amazing legacy fund. Here at Youbee Media, we were proud to support the event through our marketing consultancy, marketing workshops, and social media management, helping ensure Mandy’s message reached as many people as possible.
The #BeMoreMandy campaign

The Yorkshire Coast Mandathon
Tina Boden gathered a small committee to help her organise and manage the #Mandathon. The committee consisted of Clemy Crowther and Julie Sheffield – more friends of Mandy. Together, they set about creating instructions, goody bags, sponsors, health and safety and more for the big day.
Participants of the Mandathon or Mini Mandathon were assigned a ‘Mandathon Mate’ who could be their single point of contact for the day of the event.

Donations have been flooding in to the Yorkshire Coast Mandathon fundraising page, the Be More Mandy fund, and individual Local Giving pages. Collectively, over £32,000 has been raised for Mandy’s Legacy fund and this will be used by One Community Foundation Kirklees to help more children and young adults create memories.
