As Youbee Media celebrates turning one, Youbee Becky has summarised some of our highlights over the last 12 months. It’s been quite the ride with many ups, a couple of downs but overall – we’re buzzing to be where we are, with the fantastic network of people around us.
The dream
During the pandemic many businesses found themselves in a position that they had never been in before and could never have planned for. Rebecca had the idea of creating a business that could help different businesses across a number of sectors with their marketing and communications strategy. By working closely with businesses, Youbee Media would support clients with social media, their website, blogs, email campaigns and traditional marketing solutions such as business cards and literature.
Finding the Hive

Rebecca founded Youbee Media at the end of September 2020. With little certainty about what the future would hold, Youbee Becky set up a home office and got to work building a brand, a business and looking for some clients. It wasn’t long before a couple of clients came along and started to show an interest in what Youbee Media had to offer.
By the end of 2020, Youbee Media had 5 clients on board and contracts secured for 2021. With excitement brimming, Youbee Becky needed to look for a suitable premises to grow the Youbee team. Becky found a fab office space in Morley and got some help from her husband to personalise the office with lots of Youbees on the walls. It has always been really important to Becky to create a happy, welcoming place to work with a breakout area for the team. With big plans, the office would support the business's growth.
Youbee in the Press!
As an AD:VENTURE business, Youbee Media was spotted in Topic UK magazine, Yorkshire Post and featured on AD:VENTURE's website as a case study. Youbee Media also contributed to a blog for Sparkle up North discussing being a mum and business owner to support and empower women in business. Keep an eye out for further press on Youbee as the business continues to grow and thrive!
Growing the Youbee Team
In March 2021 the office was good to go and ready to welcome a new-bee! We welcomed Emma, a Digital Marketing Apprentice to the team. While working in the business, Emma will be studying for a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. During this course, Emma will gain an in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics, Principles of coding, Marketing principles and strategy for social media and campaigns. Shortly after we welcomed Emma, Youbee celebrated its 6-month birthday. It was great to involve Emma in the celebrations and look ahead to an exciting future

Youbee Media are passionate about supporting local businesses and creating a network of brilliant people around the business. As members of Yorkshire Businesswoman, Youbee Media have featured in their magazine and will attend regular networking events which bring women from across the region together.
Continuing on the path of supporting, empowering and connecting with women across the region, Youbee Media have signed up to the #WECAN campaign. This project aims to enhance the resilience and growth of SMEs by building the leadership skills, capabilities and opportunities of women in the Leeds City Region.
Youbee and the Big Tea!
In June 2021, Youbee Media organised a 'Big Tea' event to celebrate the NHS's birthday and raise funds for NHS Charities Together. Nom’s the word in Huddersfield donated a selection of decorated buns and biscuits and we invited residents in the building to make a donation to charity. Friends and family of Youbee also supported the event online. This was a great way to bring people together and raise funds for our front line workers.
We raised £351.11 in total for NHS Charities Together
