Out Together is a Yorkshire-based charity supporting older LGBTQ+ people to stay connected, build friendships and feel part of their communities.
Youbee Media began working with Out Together in October 2025, providing ongoing social media and PR support to strengthen the charity's presence, communicate its work more consistently and help its external communications reflect the organisation it was becoming.
Since then, our role has grown alongside the charity – supporting everything from day-to-day social media and community messaging to major funding announcements, new initiatives, partnerships and events.
By 2026, Out Together was going through a period of significant growth and change. Its annual All Out Together Ball presented an opportunity not only to raise vital funds, but to showcase the charity, its growing profile and the community around it.
The event needed to feel distinct from Out Together's everyday communications.
Our objective was to:
Rather than treating the Ball as a standalone social media campaign, we created a consistent identity and carried it through the promotion, event materials and the evening itself.
We developed a new identity for the All Out Together Ball, giving the event a distinctive look and feel while retaining its connection to the wider Out Together brand.
The creative was then adapted across social media, print and event materials, helping audiences recognise Ball-related communications and establishing an identity that can continue to develop in future years.
Ahead of the event, we developed and distributed targeted PR designed to increase awareness of the Ball and showcase the people, organisations and purpose behind it.
The campaign generated coverage across regional, charity and LGBTQ+ media, including the Yorkshire Evening Post, Consortium LGBT+, Doing Good Leeds, Yorkshire Press, Charity News Desk and Kirklees Local TV.
Following the Ball, we continued the story with further PR focused on its impact and the £21,000 profit raised for Out Together. This generated another wave of coverage across charity, regional and sector publications.
We created and shared content across Out Together's social platforms in the build-up to the Ball, helping to showcase the event, those involved and the charity behind it.
This formed part of our wider social media management for Out Together, which has focused on creating a more consistent and professional presence while ensuring its channels remain warm, inclusive and representative of the communities it supports.
We brought the new Ball identity into the event itself, designing and printing the A5 event programme and creating the PowerPoint presentation used throughout the evening.
This included animating the All Out Together Ball logo to create an engaging visual backdrop, helping the branding feel like part of the event experience rather than simply something used to promote it beforehand.
Together, the programme and presentation helped create a more polished and consistent experience from the moment guests arrived through to the evening's presentations and entertainment.
Alongside the Ball creative, we also designed two new pull-up banners for Out Together.
These were intentionally created as evergreen assets for the charity rather than Ball-specific materials, giving the team professional branded displays that could be used at the fundraiser and then taken forward to future events, community activities and partnership opportunities.

The 2026 All Out Together Ball generated £21,000 in profit, with 100% of that money going back into the charity and its work supporting LGBTQ+ communities.
But the purpose of the campaign went beyond one evening.
At a time when Out Together was developing as an organisation, the Ball provided an opportunity to present the charity with greater confidence and maturity. Creating a dedicated identity helped establish the event as an important part of the Out Together calendar – something recognisable in its own right and with creative foundations that can be built upon year after year.
Our work around the Ball also sits within a much wider partnership.
Since October 2025, we've helped Out Together significantly grow its social media presence while using PR to communicate some of the charity's most important developments.
This has included supporting communications around DSIT funding, the charity's partnership with The Shameless Fund, the launch of Out Together Spaces, its befriending service supported by Sky and its Rainbow Lottery partnership.
PR activity has helped take those stories beyond Out Together's existing audience, securing coverage across regional, charity, LGBTQ+ and national media. The Shameless Fund announcement, for example, generated coverage including Attitude and Yahoo News, while the DSIT story appeared across a broad mix of health, regional and charity publications.
Today, Youbee Media continues to work alongside Out Together as the charity grows – helping it communicate its work, celebrate its impact and give important stories the visibility they deserve.
