Supporting the Launch and Growth of the Pride in Diversity Awards

Pride in Diversity Awards

Back to case studies
The Client

The Pride in Diversity Awards was founded in 2025 by co-founders Matt Jameson and Jane Clynes to celebrate and recognise individuals, organisations and communities making a meaningful impact across Yorkshire.

Created to shine a spotlight on diversity, inclusion and community-led change, the awards bring together businesses, charities and leaders… supported through a strategic event marketing and social media approach.

Youbee Media joined as Marketing Partner from the outset, with our Marketing Director Becky also elected as a committee member, playing a key role in shaping the launch and direction of the inaugural event.

The objective

As a brand-new event, the Pride in Diversity Awards needed to build awareness, credibility and engagement from the ground up.

The core objectives were to:

  • Establish a strong and recognisable brand identity
  • Build visibility across social media and digital platforms
  • Drive nominations and community engagement
  • Create a professional, high-quality event experience
  • Position the awards as a meaningful and lasting addition to the Yorkshire events calendar

This required a clear social media strategy to build awareness and drive engagement from launch.

Beyond launch, the focus has been on sustained growth - expanding reach, increasing participation, and building a platform that continues to grow in impact year-on-year.

147 attendees at the inaugural awards event
Year 2 LinkedIn engagement saw an 833.3% increase in comments, highlighting active community participation
Instagram followers increased by 61%, with 19,875 views across content
How we helped

As Marketing Partner, Youbee Media supported the Pride in Diversity Awards across brand creation, digital strategy and event delivery, working closely with the wider committee and partners to bring the vision to life.

Our involvement began at the very foundation of the event, including:

  • Creation of the event logo and full brand identity
  • Development of all core brand assets across digital and print
  • Supporting the website build alongside Fallen Leaf Web
  • Ongoing social media management across LinkedIn and Instagram

We developed a strategic social media approach designed to build momentum across key campaign phases—launch, nominations, shortlist announcements and the live event. LinkedIn played a particularly important role, becoming a key platform for nominees, sponsors and organisations to engage, share and amplify the awards.

Alongside campaign delivery, we supported the event experience and execution, including:

  • Design of the physical awards presented on the night
  • Creation of the awards presentation (PPT) for the live event
  • Collaboration with committee members to plan and deliver both the preview night and inaugural awards ceremony

Beyond delivery, our role extended into strategic input, with Becky contributing at committee level to help shape the direction, positioning and growth of the awards.

The results

Year One (2025):

  • 147 attendees at the inaugural awards event
  • Over 300 public votes cast for charity finalists
  • Strong engagement from a diverse mix of businesses, charities and community organisations
  • A successful launch establishing the awards as a unique and meaningful regional event

Ongoing Growth (2025–2026):
Building on the success of year one, the Pride in Diversity Awards has continued to grow in reach, engagement and visibility.

In the lead-up to the 2026 awards:

  • LinkedIn followers grew by 375%, reflecting strong interest from businesses and organisations
  • LinkedIn engagement saw an 833.3% increase in comments, highlighting active community participation
  • Instagram followers increased by 61%, with 19,875 views across content
  • Over 100 nominations received for the 2026 awards

With increasing awareness, engagement and community involvement, the 2026 event is set to be bigger and more impactful, with continued growth in attendance, nominations and overall reach.

The Pride in Diversity Awards has quickly established itself as a unique platform within Yorkshire, with no direct equivalent in the region.

Beyond the event itself, the impact has extended further:

  • Finalists and winners have gone on to form collaborations and partnerships
  • Charities and third sector organisations have identified shared goals and complementary services
  • The awards have created a space for connection, visibility and long-term community support

By combining strategic marketing, strong branding and collaborative delivery, Youbee Media has helped transform the awards from an initial concept into a growing, purpose-led event with lasting regional impact.

As the awards continue to evolve, we’re proud to remain part of that journey—supporting its growth, reach and influence across Yorkshire
