We’re pleased to announce that Youbee Media are a carbon negative company.
At Youbee Media, sustainable living is something that we’re passionate about. We’re taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint and offset our emissions. We’ve swapped single use plastic bottles for refillable bottles, we recycle our coffee pods, eat less meat and fish (Youbee Emma has been vegetarian for many years), and reduce waste where possible. We have also recently signed up to Ecologi to become a climate positive workplace.
What is Ecologi

Ecologi invest money into a broad range of projects that evidence that they are reducing greenhouse gases and reduce carbon emissions.
A Climate Positive Workforce is a team that gives back to our planet. Youbee Media contribute to a scheme on behalf of employees in our organisation to mitigate their carbon footprint, as well as planting trees. A person’s carbon footprint is calculated by the average person’s hobbies and travel within a country each month.

Take a look at Youbee Media’s efforts or contribute to our forest here.
To date, over 8,619 businesses have signed up and over 30 million trees have been planted. We’re sure that this figure will continue to rise as more people and businesses become aware of their carbon footprint. To have a look at the results of this Collective Action visit the Ecologi dashboard. Many important discussions have been taking place at the COP26 Global Summit, which we’re sure will result in more individuals and businesses backing causes like Ecologi.
Director, Rebecca Hopwood says “I feel proud that the Youbee Media team are as passionate about our impact on the planet as I am. It has meant that everyone has fully got behind this scheme and we can all continue to make small steps to live on a more sustainable planet.”
Sustainable E-cards
Another way that Youbee Media aim to reduce emissions is by lessening the amount we need to post or ship things to clients or contacts. This year, rather than send physical Christmas cards, we have chosen to support Life’s Little Recipes on their new digital card venture. This E-card is magical, thoughtful and contains lots of sentiment that we know people will enjoy. This eradicates the need for card which can’t be recycled, envelopes, stamps and couriers in vans which release emissions. Plus, we can’t wait for more people to meet and fall in love with Unimole!
