Hello again! I am back writing another blog after reaching ANOTHER milestone at Youbee Media. This time, it’s a big one. Today as I am writing this, I have been part of Youbee Media for 1 year. My first year, in my first ‘proper’ job, working in an industry I had little to no experience in. I cannot believe I made it to a year! I have just re-read my first blog I did for Youbee Media after 4 weeks into my role – “My Youbee Journey So Far”, and all I can say is ‘WOW, things have changed’. To be able to reflect and see my growth as a Digital Marketer through my previous blogs is pretty cool and is nice to see how far I’ve come.
This blog isn’t going to be like the last 2 including my 51 days of Youbee Media , as I feel I could write a list of 1000 things I’ve learnt every day! So, instead I wanted to round up the last year, and cover some of my highlights at Youbee Media so far.
My Youbee Highlights
My first networking event!

This Yorkshire Businesswoman event was the launch of their print magazine and an opportunity for the first time, for members and guests to get together and celebrate the Women of Yorkshire at Dakota Hotel! As an apprentice, I never thought networking would be part of my role - the idea of networking in a room full of professional, experienced entrepreneurs was simply, terrifying for me. I had never done anything like that before. However, Becky of course encouraged me to come along with her for the afternoon. To say I was apprehensive was an understatement. I was very nervous leading up to the event, however I did it, I pushed myself, and I’m SO glad I did. Attending that event was the best thing for my confidence and I came out the other end on the biggest high.
It will always be a highlight for me at Youbee Media and it encouraged me to always try new things and to not be afraid to do things that scare me. Because of this event I had the confidence to attend several other networking groups around the Leeds area, including SAM Networking and Networking AM in Huddersfield.
First photography shoot.

With thanks to John Steel Photography, Rebecca and I had a super fun day taking lots of photos for Youbee Media during last year.It was something I hadn’t done before and something I never thought I would get to do. It was a great day capturing our smiles and laughter throughout and great to have a day working on our brand image.
We headed over to Pure Offices to get some shots, as well as walked around the streets of Morley.

Celebrated 1 year of Youbee

During my time at Youbee Media, I have been lucky enough to celebrate 2 Youbee milestones with Becky! Our 6 months celebration and our 1 year Business Birthday. I am so honoured to have been apart of the growth and celebrations of the business. As an apprentice, I could see my value shining through the growth of the business and over the past year have felt like a really valued member of the team. Rebecca and I enjoyed a delicious meal out in Leeds to celebrate, and it was a great evening to look back on.

Passing my Apprenticeship exams
Another super proud moment for me is passing both my compulsory exams for my Digital Marketing L3 Apprenticeship. Over the last year, alongside my day-to-day role, I have also been studying for my L3 qualification in Marketing with Estio Training. I have spent the time revising, learning and upskilling myself in order to pass these exam with high grades. This also included understanding the importance of data-driven analytics in marketing. I took both exams in the office, and was thrilled when I learnt I had passed both my Principles of Coding exam along with my Marketing Principles exam. Today, after many online lessons, coursework and studying, I am almost finished my apprenticeship with Estio, which means I will finally receive my Marketing qualification!
I’ve also had the opportunity to attend marketing workshops run by Youbee Media, which have helped me gain practical skills in social media strategy, content creation, and client campaigns. These experiences have been invaluable in boosting my confidence and professional growth.
I cannot wait to see what the future will bring for me and what the next steps of my career will be.
Bampax Ball

Rebecca and I were kindly invited to the infamous Bampax Ball by our friends over at Fallen Leaf Web Design. The evening was fantastic and filled with lots of glitz and glamour (which is right up my street). We danced and sang the night away and of course took advantage of the free bar! The night was one to remember for me with all donations from the event going to Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust and Adoption UK. It was a brilliant night and just 1 of the many cool things I get to do working at Youbee Media.
Youbee Media won Marketing Consultancy of the Year
As you can tell, I get to do so many amazing things with Youbee Media. Winning Marketing Consultancy of the Year at the Prestige Awards however has got to be up there near the top! To be part of a team that continuously works hard and always puts in 100% effort is something that I’m super grateful for. It’s an honour to be recognised for our marketing consultancy and social media management services.
The team headed over to the beautiful Hazlewood Castle to accept our award and shared our excitement with all of our friends and family.
Rebecca Hopwood

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Becky, she is truly one of a kind. Not only is she a fantastic boss, but she’s also a great friend, leader and the best role model to me. Becky has supported and encouraged me throughout my journey and has taught me a hell of a lot in the world of Marketing. So, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for taking a risk, bringing me on your journey and for helping me to grow into the person I am now – I definitely couldn’t have done it without you!
Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself and encouraging me to do things that sometimes challenged me.
