Hi everyone! I’m Hannah, the newest member to the Youbee team. I’ve just completed my second week as a Marketing Executive here, and I’ve loved it so far. Here’s a short and sweet about me (like me!)
A bit about me
Coming from a fast-fashion e-commerce background, I’ve always understood the importance of using data to drive business decisions. Transitioning to a marketing consultancy is a fresh and exciting challenge for me, and I’m eager to apply my existing skills while also being open to absorbing everything there is to know about marketing and social media management. Even in just a week – I’ve already gained so many valuable insights!
For the past two years, I actually took a break from the typical 9-5 routine to work as a language assistant in Spain. During that time, I had the opportunity to travel, explore new places, and connect with people from different cultures. I’ve always had a passion for learning, whether it’s learning a new language like Spanish or diving into the world of marketing. I find that I’m my best when I’m acquiring new skills and knowledge. When I learned that Youbee Media also offer marketing workshops, I knew that this was something I too wanted to get involved with and support.
If I had to name my favourite place I've travelled to so far, I would definitely have to say Toledo in Spain. Toledo is a tiny city on a hill-top about an hour from Madrid, and it actually used to be the capital of Spain! Visiting this city was like walking into a real-life fairytale. I loved Toledo so much that I went back to visit several more times!
What I’ve loved so far
My experience with the Youbee team has been incredibly positive so far. Getting to know Rebecca, Dena and Olivia has been great - and I think that I fit right in. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many inspirational women in business within the Yorkshire region. One highlight was attending the Yorkshire Businesswoman Awards Launch event, where I had the chance to network with like-minded women, listen to their inspiring stories, and witness the strong support system they’ve built for each other.
On my first day in the office, we were treated to a delicious lunch from the nearby Little Deli Co. I have a big appetite and a real sweet tooth - so this was just perfect!
It’s okay to not know everything
I’ve also learnt that it’s okay to not know everything, and it’s actually quite a common feeling. Marketing is an ever-evolving field, and there’s always something new to learn. So it’s important to not be too hard on yourself for not having all the answers right away. In the end, it’s your willingness to learn, adapt and persevere that matters! I also think it’s important for everyone to keep their curiosity alive, it's fun to learn new things!
Being in the Youbee team has also shown me that I also already know a lot about - and I can share that with the team too. In previous roles, I've spent a lot of time on Google Analytics and working through data to understand buying behaviours and patterns. I also write content on a freelance basis, so writing blogs and content for social media has felt really natural to me.
What I’m looking forward to
As I look ahead, I’m genuinely excited about the continuous learning and personal growth opportunities at Youbee. Whether it’s acquiring new skills in-house or attending events at Moda with my colleagues, I’m ready for a fun and fulfilling working future with this supportive team of ladies! I know that we have lots of events lined up in the calendar - and there'll always be an opportunity to get out and about meeting new people.
I know that soon, I will be contributing to strategy meetings, working closely with clients and delivering marketing campaigns. I just want to learn it all so that I can get started!
My favourite fact
In Switzerland it’s illegal to only buy one guinea pig – because they’re social beings and get lonely <3
Thanks for taking the time to hear a little bit about me! You can also find me on Linkedin and at @youbeemedia on Instagram where you can see myself and the rest of the Youbee team in action 😊
